Why go through the expense of having trees removed from your property only to leave unsightly stumps in their place? Such stumps create a trip and fall hazard, make your property look like someone did not finish the job, and in some cases even re-grow into another tree.
Grinding those stumps below your existing grade allows for effective repair and replanting of the area. In many cases we can grind sufficiently so that you can plant a new tree in the exact spot of your prior tree. A&K Stump Grinding, Inc. is much less expensive than digging out the stump and rootball of your tree and greatly reduces the disturbance to the surrounding site.

Why Us?
If you like the price of the estimate we come prepared to grind the stumps. We will rake and spread out the mulch or rake it into a neat pile. We do not haul away mulch.
We guarantee 4” to 6” below grade and to disconnect surface roots from stumps smaller than 36”. We do not prep yards for sod. We charge $1.50 per inch up to 35 inches ($5 per stump minimum). A $125 minimum for job.

To obtain the price of the stump all you need to do is measure from “dirt to dirt” at the widest part of the stump. Using the graphic above as an example, you would measure the lengths of A to B, C to D, and E to F. The lengths of each are: A-B= 8″, C-D=15″, and E-F=6″, then you add all of the lengths together to get a total of 29″. Then, based on the pricing table, you would take the 29″ and multiply it with the corresponding “Price Per Inch”, which in this case would be $1.50, for a total of $43.50 or a $125 minimum.
